i really love these fabric designs from cicada studio available on etsy. they're the work of talented designer michelle engel bencsko who started cicada as a personal project. i heard from michelle earlier this month when she spotted her cousins designs for fishs eddy here on P+P. check out the cicada studio sites here etsy shop, blog, portfolio.

Her designs have a nice retro-yet-classic feel - very balanced. Great for lots of fun projects!! Michelle and I have become acquainted through our parallel paths - she is a wildly talented designer, with energy to match - she's one to watch for sure!
I've been watching Michelle's work evolve over the last 6 months. Her fabric patterns are marvelous as are the works-in-progress she's shared. Always fun to drop in to her blog and Etsy shop to see her latest designs.

Print and Pattern is my favorite blog. Always full of unbelievable inspiration, which I thank you for! And I am a regular reader of Michelle's blog, where I am also continually inspired as she shares the evolution of her beautiful textile designs. Wonderful to see that she is getting the recognition that she so truly deserves!

As her mom, I am filled with pride and admiration. Michelle is also an inspiration to me! Its so good to see all of your hard work pay-off, especially while juggling your other job, raising 2 wonderful boys and maintianing such a lovely home atmosphere. And it warms my heart to know that Andrew is such a big supporter and helper. What a team! Bravo, Michelle!
