PAPERCHASE - metallic folk trees

some of you may have noticed the print & pattern posts getting a bit later and fewer this week, thats because i have been working all hours on finishing the manuscript for the second P+P book. The deadline is looming large for november 1st so i need to disappear for a week and really focus on getting it finished. but in the meantime i wanted to leave you with something good and a taste of whats to come next month when things start to get festive. i wanted to showcase this beautiful new paperchase christmas range "metallic folk trees". (remember the everyday folk trees?) its an absolutely gorgeous scandinavian folk inspired design and can be found all across cards and wrap. in stores now and online at paperchase.
see you next wednesday and thanks for reading !

BOOK - the exquisite book

print & pattern is taking part in a book blog tour for the very first time. chronicle books have invited various bloggers to give our reviews on an exciting new illustration book."the exquisite book" written by julia rothman, jenny volvovski and matt lamothe re-invents a surrealist drawing game for 100 of todays top indie artists. Each illustrator was asked to create an image having only seen the page of the artist immediately prior. its interesting to see that on some of the pages where the visual connection is obvious but on others it takes time to spot. 'the exquisite' book also has a unique construction of ten different fold out accordions bound into a single hardcover. contributors include ray fenwick, alyson fox, lisa congdon, marcus oakley, matte stephens, lab partners, and lorena siminovich. available here on amazon usa or amazon uk.
