BOOK - designing & printing fabric

today on print & pattern is all about books as i'll be posting images from some of the titles i have purchased lately. i am also taking part in a blog tour for the first book on todays menu : the complete guide to designing and printing fabric by laurie wisbrun. many of you will know laurie's name as she has created several best selling fabric collections for robert kaufman and is a keen spoonflower user. the book guides you through the process of finding inspiration, designing repeat patterns, and then getting them printed digitally or by hand. there are also a series of interviews with those who already have experience such as heather moore of skinny la minx, heather ross, and joel dewberry. also useful included are a glossary, tips on trade shows, and marketing techniques. find it here on amazon uk or amazon usa where it is titled 'mastering the art of fabric printing & design'.
