TRENDS - by trend bible

trend bible are a company specialising in forecasting trends for the home interiors industry producing seasonal publications which forecast home interiors trends - including print and pattern direction. trend bible are keen to offer inspiration to smaller independent designers who might not be able to buy into their full service and have allowed us to look at one of their AW12/13 trends. these patterns were created by trend bible's in house designer louise parr and form part of their 'sentiment' story, which trend bible predicted would be big news. with the london olympics in 2012, they felt there would be a focus on the best of british, combining past industrial heritage with a modern traveller look. add to this a nostalgia for british textile design institutions such as liberty and the late lucienne day. 'sentiment' is familiar and comforting, a story that mixes utilitarian canvases and cottons with abstract prints and ditsy florals. you can see many more trends, show reports, and print themes online here at trend bible.
