Today I am posting fabrics and wallpapers from Villa Nova’s Etta collection. Etta is a modernist range of prints and weaves that takes its initial inspiration from the work of Henri Matisse. Matisse was a giant in the world of modern art and in the final chapter of his career he experimented with a series of pieces using spectacular cut-outs in vibrant colours. This was the starting point of the collection and by creating abstract shapes, placing cut-outs and experimenting with overlapping these shapes the look of the Etta collection was born. The Villa Nova studio then developed this influence to originate the final collection. You can see all the fabrics and wallpapers online at Villa Nova here.
