its mother's day on sunday here in the UK, so i thought i'd share some of the snaps ive taken lately, and show a few cards from around the web. the first few were all taken in sainsbury's.
these mother's day stickers from do crafts would be perfect for a last minute card or for scrapbooking any photos you take on the day.
good news for jonathan adler fans, they've just released a brand new line of wallpapers. see the 24 different colour/pattern options online here.
today im having a little bit of a look at this years easter designs. with easter coming that much earlier this year on march 23rd you will probably be starting to think about designing or making or shopping for your own cards now. im starting with john lewis, where i just love their mix of modern and traditional. the contemporary wrap on the chocolate box (above) and crackers is brillliant, as are the eggs shown below that have the look and feel of vintage book illustrations.
next up, my favourite shop in the world - paperchase. hopefully i'll have more to come on this range as the store i visited was a fairly small branch. there were lots of eggs, chicks, and gingham with the emphasis definately on fun and cute.
new arrivals in paperchase recently include a great fun range called 'mini mutants'. this is a new design that probably suggests that previous collection 'monstarz' went down very well with customers. also shown below i loved these bags with cats and dogs designed for paperchase by gillian phillips. they also had easter arrivals but i'll put those in my easter round-up tommorow.
really cute and pretty designs by chrystel proupuech as seen at les filles a l'usine. i followed a link to chrystel's website from a comment she left here on P+P. unfotunately i dont speak much french but looking at chrystel's cv i could see she works freelance in graphics, illustration and textile design. i really liked the fabric bird collages. so cute.
fab designer paula at henry road has just launched her new spring collection, including four new bags and thirteen gorgeous new pillows. with colours such as sage, teal and a bold pink called passion there are three new print designs; 'blossom' is inspired by a japanese garden, 'fleur' tips a hat to the iconic fleur-de-lis, and 'leaves' reflects a tropical jungle. i also wanted to say thankyou to paula and her sister in london who always tip me off about magazine features way before they hit the news stands. thankyou.
