i had previously featured lovely japanese postcards from mocchi mocchi on P+P here way back in 2006. so i was really suprised the other day to see a range of their cards in a local store. mochizuki's gorgeous artwork was picked up by woodmansterne and published in the uk. the colour palette is earthy and natural and all the cards are printed with vegetable based inks onto 100% recycled cards and packed in corn starch bags. some postcards from the mocchi mocchi website...

CARD OF THE YEAR AWARD - usa

DESIGNER - sarah wade
sarah wade is a uk based freelance surface pattern designer and illustrator working in Suffolk . sarah graduated from northampton university in 2004 with a degree in graphic design (specialising in illustration). since then she has worked in the greetings and stationery industries. sarah now works on a freelance basis from her home in ipswich at her design house studios for a variety of clients within the publishing, textiles and stationery industries.
