alexander vidal is a Los Angeles based illustrator and designer. alexander creates work inspired mostly by animals, jungles, and travel. his pattern design and illustration he says "are in constant communication", and he likes to make patterns out of pieces of illustration, and to make illustrations that use the aesthetics of pattern. here are a few examples of alexander's work and more can be found online here.

there is a summer mood at Matalan right now with acid neon colours on this geometric homewares print called 'pop pastels'. a little bit of 'Miami' comes to the uk with their jonathan adler style flower pot planters and nautical picnic plates. and at the bottom a selection of fashionable tea towels. all snapped in Matalan in newbury last week.
