MOTHER'S DAY 2024 - part one

We've reached that time of year for a review of Mother's Day designs. In the UK Mother's Day is part of the Spring Season (Valentines, Mother's Day, Easter) and takes place this Sunday!

As I always maintain even if you're not working in greetings you'll still find inspirations for colours, motifs, and type. You may spot your own work if you license card designs and of course you can find a card to buy. Here is part 1 of a look at various different publishers spotted at Tesco.

CERAMICS - bjorn wiingblad / rosendahl

Rosendahl have produced a new range of ceramics the reinterprets the work of the late Bjørn Wiinblad.  The Copenhagen born artist's brightly coloured, detailed designs became very popular in post-war Europe. With a gentle nod to Scandinavian folk art, his romantic, imaginative art is now reinterpreted in this modern, functional range of ceramics fit for a new generation. They've used the artists own drawings for the facial features and added vibrant geometric patterns for the dresses. Perfect for flowers they are designed to add a nostalgic mid century feel to any room.
