BOOK WEEK - books for pattern fans

this week im going to be posting all about books.hopefully this will be a guide for all surface pattern designers, textile designers, and design students. i'll be listing and illustrating a top selection of books aimed at people with a passion for patterns and motifs. i'll also be reporting on where to buy books in london, so if you're planning a visit to the UK, or live & work here then this is for you. im also thinking of new students who arent familiar with the best places to buy books. but of course theres good old amazon for those who cant make it london, although believe me nothing beats browsing in the shops themselves. so before we look at the best books on the market, im starting off with...
the print & pattern guide to the best bookshops in london.

I´m pretty new to pattern making - but love it and I´am still looking for the perfect "Beginners guide to" - or "How to make a repeat pattern" - so if you have any book tips please let me know.

hey, im moving to london in september to do a fine art degree and would love to find out where the best pattern/design book shops are to have a gander at. ive just purchased 'Patterns' and 'Image makers, Image Takers' from Amazon, and through that found this site and the book 'The Cutting Edge of Wallpaper' id love to look at it for myself, not on the web, do you know where i could find it?

any help would be great, thanks!
