i decided to do a bit of follow up research on the designers featured in the new 'patterns' book. a designer whose work i thought was really amazing was that of rachel cave. rachel works as a freelance print & surface pattern designer and has some top clients including hallmark & macys. contact rachel via her website here for enquiries or commissions.
WOW! So cool!!
ReplyDeleteI don't always manage to post a comment each time I see something great on your blog - otherwise I'd be posting every time I look at it. Just wanted to say thanks for posting such great images all the time - they're a real inspiration and make me look at things in supermarkets etc in more detail. Thanks for all your efforts - just wanted to make sure you knew they were apprecaited.
ReplyDeleteI have to echo Sarah Jayne's sentiments. This blog is such a treasure chest, and my mind is like a butterfly cloud of WOW!s every time I visit, but I'd sound like a dork if I said it every time.
ReplyDeleteSo here's a mammoth THANKS to last until the next time. You're the best, Bowie!
thankyou so much :)
ReplyDeletei really appreciate your sentiments, and i totally understand why you dont leave comments all the time.
i look in everyday to see if there are any comments - and quite often there arent - and yet 4000 a day are visiting. its quite strange. plus its so disappointing for the designers as they are keen to hear comments about their work :(
however, it means a lot that regular readers like youselves do comment every now and then so i know im not alone. THANKYOU.
I love your blog. I find it very inspiring. I'm sorry to say I am one of the silent 4,000. I'm always curious to know what you do to have so much time to gather beautiful patterns!
ReplyDeletePlanning to comment more,

hi kinsey,
ReplyDeleteim a designer and trend forecaster - this basically means my job involves lots of research gathering images to make mood boards on print trends. hence im always on the look out for patterns at work. i also get sent out to the shops a lot to research during working hours - AND i love to go shopping at weekends.
