hello everybody, just to let you know im back from holiday and posting again here on P+P. i thought i would catch up with some store snaps that ive taken recently. these shots are from a sticker book i saw in john lewis, featuring wall decals by casadeco. if you find yourself in the oxford street branch its well worth looking through this book at all the motifs and colours. you'll find it in the wallpaper department.
Me oh my!
ReplyDeleteI love all the different patterns and print youve colected on your blog!
Keep up the good work!
but what if i want these and live in america!
ReplyDeletehi jennb5,
ReplyDeleteare you suggesting i only report on stuff you can get in america ?
this blog is based here in the UK and is mainly to showcase the world of pattern design - not primarily to act as a shopping channel.
i posted this stickers because they are interesting and inspirational.
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're back from holidays, it's great to see more new stuff showing up. This blog is the best! Thanks for being such a great source.
The bold color combination and the patterns are amazing. What is nice here is that you show us models for different usages, ages and design styles. Well done, the creative side of my brain got a stimulus. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am so so loving the matryoshka dolls.
ReplyDeleteYay! Great to have you back - hope your break was good.
ReplyDeleteI must say, although wall decals often have nice patterns, I really can't find myself getting excited about using them myself. Perhaps I'm simply not able to sufficiently commit to sticking them on my walls!
Perhaps you didn't mean to sound aggressive, bowie style, but you kind of did in your response to jennb6. I thought jennb5 just sounded impressed and excited by your post and wondered if there were any US contacts. I may have posted something similar myself, not at all intending to "suggest" you "only report on stuff you can get in America." If you were intending to be inspirational, I think you achieved that, but you may frighten off the very same people you are inspiring by snapping at their excited comments.
ReplyDeleteyour harsh response to jennb5 makes me not want to read your blog anymore. why are you being rude to your readers? she just sounded excited, most blogs include links to places where you can buy products shown on the site. not to say this blog is for shopping, but if your viewers see something they like, itd be nice if there was an easy way for them to get ahold of the item. but if youre going to reply to postings in such a negative manner, i don't know if i want to continue reading
ReplyDeleteKnow what? Bowie's brilliant finds, generous sharing, multiple daily posts, kind gestures and overall top-notchness over thousands of inspiring posts more than makes up for any possible momentary tetchiness. She rocks!
ReplyDeletelove the green apples and butterflies!
ReplyDeleteyour blog is so inspiring! i especially like the large photo format...how do you get large ones on the right side of the page without interrupting the right hand column??
i take your point that it is hard to gauge how a comment is said when it is written down - i didnt imagine that i sounded agressive to jennb. so would immediately apologise. by the same token i couldnt tell that jennb's exclamation mark meant she was excited. regarding links - i always put them in where i can, but here (as i didnt have one) i suppose i imagined as long as i posted the name of the company (which i did: casadeco) i thought people can google it to see if its available in in their area.
ReplyDeleteas with all blogs - bad comments are always left anonymously so i dont know who you are - but i do apologise that you felt upset enough to write.
I've looked and looked and couldn't find any of these. :(
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you back and posting your finds! P + P is one of my daily checked blogs. So in your absence I started looking at all the archive posts and was very impressed with the amazing collection you have going on this blog. Just wonderful and I always walk away inspired.
ReplyDeleteIf you were looking for where to buy these (like I was) here is a link: http://wallpaperandborders.co.uk/wallpaper-shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=22
ReplyDeletelsaspacey, thanks for the link..:)
ReplyDeleteI simply love the designs!
