clothkits, a west sussex based company, was originally launched in the 1970's, but was recently revived in recent years for a whole new generation of crafters. the concept is that instead of paper patterns the cutting lines are printed onto the fabric and eveything needed to make the item is included. what really amazed me about clothkits today is the brilliant designers they have put together, the current team includes jane foster, rob ryan, and people will always need plates. products include skirts, dresses, totes and dolls. to view the whole range just visit clothkits online here. clothkits will also be exhibiting at made 08 this month, see the next post for details.
I absolutely adore clothkits, cool idea and amazing designs and fabrics!
ReplyDeleteLOVE those skirts!!! So graphic and modern.
ReplyDeleteLike the skirt with the tower block and salmon pink sky, very quirky.
ReplyDeleteI adore this idea! Have been wanting to do something similar, as there's a tradition in South Africa of buying fabric with patterned panels printed on, to make up panel skirts, and I've always thought it was brilliant!
ReplyDeleteClothkits rock! We have just been working with them with our Mini Moderns prints in 6 designs for kids and their mums. Plus our farm animals from our Moo! print as stuffed toys.
