i came across some cards in a card shop called urban nature in winchester recently. published by the art group they were created by jenny frean and the talented artists at her sussex based studio first eleven. jenny founded the studio in 1986 and grouped together designers who worked in print, weave and embroidery. the first selection of cards shown here are by rebecca hoyes, and are followed by the stunning fabric florals by sally lloyd-thomas. see here for more on the first eleven studio and look out for them at surtex next month if you're attending the show.
the designs featuring fabulous designs below featuring typography & pattern and kissing ducks are by jenny frean herself. published by the art group and snapped in urban nature, winchester.
Gorgeous work. i love thinking of you, for you and the apple design.
ReplyDeleteTo me these look really unusual- I'd want to frame them as a group, not waste them by posting them to other people!

ReplyDeleteWe sell the Jenny Frean cards in our shop in Knutsford. It was the print that made me buy them for the shop, look stunning framed up.
