BANK HOLIDAY IN BRISTOL

im still busy sorting and editing my 1400 new york photos so whilst i finish them off here is another interlude with some snaps from a day out i had in bristol this bank holiday. some of my finds included these illustrations from junzo terada (above & below) who's work i have been looking out for since the new york stationery show.the junzo sticky notes and all the cards and stationery below were spotted in a lovely and well stocked card shop called sky in waterloo street, clifton. they also had the new collection of jane foster cards published by the art group, designs from galia bernstein, lorena siminovich, and many more.the next shop i visited was pod, located on the mall in clifton, bristol. pod is an ecclectic gift shop selling brands such as orla kiely, rice, cath kidston, amongst others. they also have an online shop here.for cute children's clothes and gifts in bristol people head to eskimo kids on the mall in clifton. i especially loved the elephant clothing prints from toby tiger.wherever i go i always check out the local cath kidston shop just in case they have something different. new arrivals in bristol included picnicware and garden seeds.
i spotted some nice cards in the bristol guild on park street, including those by crowded teeth and poppy treffry.
below are some miscellaneous bristol snaps from a gift shop on park street below, as seen in the arnolfini bookshop in bristol the latest copy of kids illustration comic okido and the amelia's magazine compendium book. the arnolfini is a gallery and cinema located down on the waterfront who stock the widest selection of design magazines i have ever seen. well worth a look if you are in the city.
