im still feeling this gorgeous trend for 50's inspired prints with a mid century modern flavour. these retro geometrics are from romo, a uk fabric company often featured here on print & pattern. shown here are corolla and quadra from their latest collection called 'casson'.
usually you start with university or art school where you can take a degree in surface design or textiles. then you learn the trade, exhibit at a degree show, and hopefully land a job or go freelance.
