regular P+P readers will know i always like try to get some shots of the trends display area. this year the themes were put together by 'trend bible' and included a 1959 classic ice cream van decorated with rob ryan bunting for their 'vintage vacation' trend. it also showcased this wonderful wallpaper by designer kate usher. featuring vintage sweets in beautiful pastel shades this was the highlight for me as the other three trends contained very few pattern references.
the snapshot above reflects the trend bible theme 'shelter' - think vintage ski lodge, cosy knits, and forest animals. below is a shot from 'winter white' which was ideal for a sophisticated christmas collection, ceramics, and ethereal prints. the final trend (not shown) was called 'spectacle' for dark folkloric, theatrical and unusual.
