seven gauge studios is the work of nottingham based knitwear designer joy bates. joy has designed knits for paul smith, ralph lauren, and donna karan thanks to her flair for pattern and colour. joy's work draws inspiration from various sources including vintage fabrics, knitting patterns and midcentury design. bold, geometric patterns in unexpected colours give seven gauge's hand crafted pieces a real contemporary edge.
