GADUATE - chloe parsons

Design student Chloe Parsons us just about to graduate from the The University of Derby where she studied Textile Design - specialising in printed textiles. For her final collection Chloe was inspired by India but not in the literal sense of it. She looked to the surroundings and nature of India, in particular the mountains. The Himalayas was a big inspiration for Chloes - especially The Valley of Flowers. She painted mountain scenes in both the literal and abstract sense and made her patterns from these.
Combined with these abstract prints, Chloe studied flowers due to their specific mountainous regions. She designed painterly and line drawn patterns - some of which are hand screen printed, and have been made into fabrics and wallpapers. Also, with the kind help from Brintons Ltd Chloe has manufactured some of her print designs into statement rugs. She will be exhibiting the collection at her degree show in Derby until mid June and at New Designers in London from the 24th-27th June. She can be contacted via email chloebeatricedesigns@live.co.uk.
