Today I can officially announce that the next Print & Pattern book will be on the subject of..... Nature!
Now is your chance to be part of the book with an official 'Call For Entries'. I would love to hear from P&P readers who would like their flora and fauna designs to be included. You may wish to create new work or perhaps you will have something suitable in your portfolio already. Remember all copyright stays with you so if you do decide to create any special works for the book you can still offer them in your portfolio to clients.
These are the kinds of themes I will be looking for :
Plants, Leaves, Grasses, Trees, Seeds, Flowers, Cacti, Succulents, Tropicana, Feathers, Pebbles, Minerals, Crystals, Gems, Fossils, Insects, Butterflies, Mushrooms, Nuts, Acorns, Fruit, Berries, Clouds, Rainbows, Snowflakes, Water, Wood, Seaweed, Fish, Sea life, Shells, etc. and although these are the main focus of the book I will also be hoping to include birds and animals.
If you would like your work to considered for inclusion all you need to do is send a selection of low res jpegs (no less than two - no more than ten) to bowiestyle@hotmail.co.uk and mark your email Nature Book. The Deadline for entries is September 1st 2015 but I am working on the book already so feel free to send in as soon as you are ready. Take a look at some of the other P&P books on Pinterest here to see the kind of things we like to publish, plus I have made some moodboards below to show the style of book I hope to create. I am looking for patterns, placement prints, illustrations, cards, wallpaper, fabrics etc.
Any general questions just ask in the comments below : )
My final day for previewing Paperchase's Autumn Winter collections has arrived and we finish with a more grown up collection called 'Vision'. This sophisticated range featuring lots of gold has a Peacock with floral and birdcage motifs as it's main print and includes a peacock feather repeat for gift bags and boxes. Designed for more grown up gifting it features on more feminine products such as a hand mirror, trinket box and cosmetic bag. Vision will be Paperchase in time for Autumn Winter 2015.
And we end the round-up of what we can expect from Paperchase next season with some of their new notebook designs. I snapped these at their Autumn Winter 2015 press show a couple of weeks ago so apologies for some of the low light. Good things to look out for included colourful mice and sausage dogs, cute woodland characters, and a dark mystic rose.
All this week we have been getting a sneak peak preview of the upcoming designs from Paperchase for their Autumn Winter 2015 collections. Today we have a Japanese style collection for kids and the young at heart called 'Let's Face It'. This fun print merges quirky characters with fruit and foods for a Kawaii effect. Expect to see lots of lunch products such as water bottles, snack boxes, cups, bowls and melamine, as well as all kinds of stationery, bags, and even a suitcase. 'Let's Face It' will be arriving at Paperchase this Autumn.
