DESIGNER - megan carter

West Yorkshire based Megan Carter has been a greetings card designer since graduating in 2000, having worked both for Hallmark Cards and UK Greetings over the last sixteen years. Now being mum to two children Megan has chosen to branch out independently as a surface pattern designer and is currently seeking new projects and collaborations. Her work is influenced by contemporary design trends but with an individual footprint that reflects her own personal style. Megan often takes reference from historical patterns and vintage fashion, for example recent trip to Vienna ignited a passion for design from the Wiener Werkstatte period. Megan is naturally drawn to creating clean graphic shapes but has begun to experiment with looser more painterly approaches.
