BLUE PRINT 2019 - semmy lee

Semmy Lee is a surface pattern designer based in Seoul, Korea who studied Textile Design at Chelsea College in London. After working for fabric companies for several years, Semmy Lee started her own studio 'SL Design' in Seoul. Clients include Louis Vuitton, Cloud 9 Fabrics, HobbyCraft UK, Kitty Bunny Pony, and Ice Cream Fairy. The purpose and aim for her pattern work is to deliver creativeness, emotional-durableness, and sometimes humour. This is Semmy Lee's first show at Blueprint this year, and she has been developing some collections under specific themes. She will present 'Neo Victorian' and 'Urban Geometry' at Blue Print. Neo Victorian collection is the series of floral pattern inspired by wallpapers and patterns in Victorian era and reinterpreted in her personal sentiment. Urban Geometry collection is an ongoing geometry series inspired from urban landscape by traveling and residing. For this season, this collection represents Asian cities like Hong Kong, Kyoto and Seoul. Semmy Lee also will be showing contemporary designs of floral and conversational categories for fashion, home-fabric, kids-wear and stationery. Her stand is #36 at Shop Studio in NYC.
