FABRICS - feena brooks for cloud9

Designer Feena Brooks has created new collection for Cloud 9 Fabrics. 'Stockbridge' celebrates the woodland and flora of Hampshire, UK. The palette is suffused with rich, vibrant greens, soft pinks and blues and the shock of golden yellow. The collection was designed with her Grandmother's flower garden in mind. Giving its name to the collection, Stockbridge is a rich, heady mix of stocks, sweet pea and delphiniums whose scent brings back many happy memories. The pattern emphasises the height of the flowers and provides a larger scale foil to the rest of the collection. You can see all the prints available online at Cloud9 here.

'Alice Holt' (above) is an ancient royal woodland, part of the South Downs national park and home to oaks, butterflies and rare flowers. Feena's pattern depicts the joy of a summer day in the woods with busy butterflies and dense expanses of flowers.
Bartnest (above) simplifies a flower meadow into a repeat pattern with particular emphasis on the shape of the stalks. The strong colours give a striking effect.
'Buck's Oak' (above) depicts the rich colours and wildflowers of a forest floor. The movement in the pattern evokes a breeze swirling through leaves. The pattern uses strong contrasting colour to emphasise the feeling of movement.
Wheatley (above) is a simple repeat which represents the farmer's fields in late summer. The colours are soft, with interest provided by the repeated circle motif.
