Cherilyn Colbert is the latest artist to join the Print & Pattern Designers for Hire Directory. Cherilyn is an illustrator, designer, and artist living in Virginia Beach, Virginia US. She studied literature and creative writing as an undergrad at Roanoke College and has an MFA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Cherilyn loves to draw. For as long as she can remember, she’s revelled in putting pencil to paper, and knows that the 8-year-old Cherilyn would be thrilled that she draws for a living. She enjoys working in a variety of mediums and exploring different techniques. Her illustration work and process blends traditional and digital methods - sometimes working in one or the other, but often working in both. Cherilyn finds that illustration allows her to blend her love of stories and story-telling with her love of visual art. Her illustration specialties are illustrated maps, illustrated places, editorial illustration and pattern design.
When not in her studio, she can be found roaming antique malls, watching Netflix, or exploring the outdoors.
