i never really veer off topic here at print & pattern, but today i just had to. i wanted to wish happy birthday to my hero DAVID BOWIE who turns 60 today. after all i stole my blogger pseudonym from this man (bowiestyle incidently is a book by mark paytress, i was looking for a name whilst signing up and happened to glance over at the bookshelf). david bowie is a singer, musician, actor, artist, style icon and legend....many happy returns.picture from tommy hilfiger campaign.

Even though I love his 70s-golden-era the most, when I'm feeling down it's the really old-school I Dig Everything Bowie that always manages to cheer me up.
the 70's ziggy era is definately the coolest, but i also love the early days too, and the skinny alien 'low' look, oh & the 80's blond lets dance look.
plus if you ever get to see all these tommy hilfiger shots, they are fantastic.
