This week I am looking at children's design, mainly on the new season fashion ranges, as well as some home decor. You may even spot your own work in a post this week so feel free to call it out if you think your client wont mind. Today we have a look at some of the new arrivals at John Lewis, who have super cute birds and a large variety of cat designs. Here are some of my favourites with plenty more online here.
There is a very sunny upbeat feel to the kids collections at British fashion company Sunuva. They specialise in stylish children's swim and beach wear that is UV protective. I really liked their colourful feathers design (above and below) and use of bright neons and pom poms.
This week I am returning to one of my favourite subjects - children's design. I find this area is usually full of colour, bold motifs and interesting typography so there is always something new to see. And don't worry - even if you don't work in this particular design field or have any children I am sure you will still find something inspiring. We start with the fabulous Spring Summer 2017 collection by Jools Oliver at Mothercare. Jool's 'Little Bird' label is fabulously fun and retro and the designs look back to 1974 when Jool's and Jamie Oliver were kids.
