i visited the royal festival hall in london last week to have a look at their exhibition celebrating 60 years since the 'festival of britain' which was held there in 1951. whilst there i visited the festival hall shop which since i last reported has doubled in size by expanding into the railway arch behind. there were festival souvenirs, gifts, as well as specially commissioned designs to commemorate the 60th anniversary. two design books on the subject are also in stock including a title on abram games focusing on the design identity he created for the exhibition. new products include the festival wallpaper by mini moderns and a collection by lizzie allen featuring mugs, teatowels and a tote bag.
