JAPANESE - decole : fika

I thought we'd have a bit of fun today as I loved these little 'kitty' handkerchiefs. Created by Japanese company Decole the clever packaging makes them look like little ice cream cones. This gave me a good excuse to see what else was on sale at Decole and I've gathered together a few highlights below.

NEW WORK - bags for the planet/cris tamay

Designer Cris Tamay has designed a new licensing collection of bold and colourful veg patterns and Bags for the planet. Reducing single-use plastics is one of the easier moves people can make that will turn into a significant change, so Chris designed a set of reusable bags to cover all the shopping necessities. This collection includes 2 shoulder totes, 1 insulated cooler bag, 1 reusable bag and 1 tote bag. She chose healthy food motifs such as vegetables, fruit and legumes to encourage healthier groceries while being greener. The collection is now available for licensing.

DESIGN CHALLENGE - jehane's golden thread

After yesterday's report on new work from design agent Jehane Ltd - today we look at their inspiring new Instagram prompt The Golden Thread. 

This weekly challenge for artists is is perfect for building your portfolio. Anyone who signs up receives a creative prompt every Monday which also includes Bonus inspiration and gorgeous colour palettes. You can share your work on Instagram and make art friends all over the world. Who knows it may lead to a sale or licensing project! 

All these works here today were created by Jehane's artists who followed her Golden Thread prompts 'Heritage Garden' and 'Tokyo Story'. Some have already been picked up by art buyers! Every week I invite my artists to create one new sketch, illustration, OR design in response to my weekly creative prompts. Each new piece of work is linked to and informed by the piece before.
