last friday i went to ikea's newest british store in southampton which has only been open a few months. i managed to get quite a few snaps which i will posting up this week. we've got textiles, bedding, kitchen, wall art, cushions, kids, and first up today lighting. there was also a student show taking place featuring project briefs set by ikea for the art and design students at southampton university.

these lamps are great! and it remind me that i have to take care of the lamps in my new apartment which at that moment are nothing special just something that give us light :D
Ikea always surprises me. People talk such crap about it and it is soo amazing what you can find there - for peanuts too :) Love the shades!

Ohhh hey! I have the blue lampshades up top. Loooove them :) IKEA really took something as simple as a lamp shade and made it something fun and unique.

i have the lamp shade with the little bird on it. it is the first thing people notice when they walk in my house, and then they ask if i made it. i wish i dmade it! ikea does have great prints...thanks for all the photos.
