i featured designer rachael taylor on print & pattern a few months ago and rachael said the response was great. she was approached by several big name companies, and with that in mind she is expanding her website. she plans to build a customer area on the site (password protected) so that her work is more exclusive. she'll also be regularly adding new designs and has plans to launch her own label in the next six months. watch this space.
jesse breytenbach is a freelance illustrator and comic artist based in cape town, south africa. in her etsy shop jezze, she creates stylish hand made items using ceramic transfers. the transfers are printed in ceramic ink, cut out and placed by hand, and then fired to fuse with the glazed surface. current lines in the shop include mugs and ceramic brooches.
talking of cape town heather at skinny la minx has started selling her fabric designs by the yardage in her popular etsy shop. you can now buy any of the five designs in the sevilla rock collection in lengths of a quarter metre, a half metre, a metre… or even more!
based in beijing, nod young is a prolific artist whose passion lies in typography and graphic he is influenced by a love of design from the UK and japan. nod is a follower of buddhism and these works entitled 'the puti trees' are a typographic interpretation of two poems quoted from the original zen classic. you can now see the prints for sale online at l'affiche moderne.
i enjoyed seeing these cute new motifs for kids tees by san francisco's bunny & bee. simple design and bold colours are the key to their fun look.

last month i fell in love with sanderson's dandelion clocks wallpaper, and this month im really into rosabella by uk company osborne and little from the hothouse range of papers. hothouse is a collection of bold contemporary floral wallpapers by english interior designer suzy hoodless, rosabella is an overall pattern of stylised hydrangea blooms. my favourite colourway is the hot pink and orange combo. around £43 a roll, see here for more details.

apples blossom is a student company from the university of portsmouth created by four girls studying a degree in fashion textiles enterprise. their current project is all about creating a product and making it known, so they've specially created a set of handmade cushions and have opened an etsy shop. the quality and detail of their work looks amazing - please check it out here.
