DESIGNER - maira chiodi

maira chiodi is an illustrator who loves surface design! maira recently moved to montreal from her home country of brazil and now has the opportunity to work with what she loves, and has a new line of wall decals with a company called adzif. maira is just at the beginning of her career and hopes she can continue working design. you can find maira's blog here or head straight to adzif to see a whole range of fabulous stickers.



WALLPAPER - kirath ghundoo

these geometric wallpapers above and below are by kirath ghundoo and they will launch at 100% design next month. the mix 'n' match 11 collection introduces seven bold new patterns, iso, persia, aztec, lavish, stack, geo and mosaic.

KIDS DESIGN - natalie ryan

natalie ryan is a textile designer based in melbourne, australia. after 10 years working in-house designing children's and adult's bed linen at hiccup natalie has decided to 'dip her toes' into the world of freelance design and illustration. natalie has always wanted to illustrate children's books and is currently in the process of getting her portfolio ready to approach publishers. she loves to use a variety of techniques to create her designs - natalie's favourite mediums include printmaking, water-colour and paper collage. more of natalie's work can be found online here.

FABRICS - jennie maizels

hampshire based illustrator jennie maizels has created a fabric collection in collaboration with linwood fabrics which will launch at london's 'decorex' show next month. jennie is the designer behind the sucessful product 'clothes plasters' which recently sold out in liberty's. clothes plasters are little iron on motifs packaged in plaster tins for make do and mend projects or just to jazz up clothes, bags, shoes, etc. for all of jennie's designs visit her online here.

IN MY INBOX - holiday round-up

its nearly time for the print & pattern annual summer break so i wanted to post a whole host of pretty things that apeared in my inbox before i go. starting with stylish patterns (above & below) from susy jack. below - two works from naomi bunegar who is currently studying an MA in textiles at the university of huddersfield, and specialising in designs for interior fabrics. below : the nancy & betty Studio is a british designer stationery brand. they design and produce cards, postcards, wrapping paper, sticky tape and badges and current stockists include liberty and heal's. below : elime home have a new collection of printed organic cotton home decorating fabrics. this is a collaborative effort between fabric and product designer robyn dipietrantonio and donna halloran of fabricadabra.

below : graduate jade hemmins recently completed a degree at leeds college of art, studying printed textiles and surface pattern design. jade is currently looking for freelance work as well as commissions.
