PRESS SHOW - laura ashley aw12

my final few shots from the laura ashley AW12 press show feature a few fashion prints. unfortunately for bloggers who take snapshots the fashion room wasnt well lit and most of my shots were blurred. but i can report there were lots of illustrations of bows for girls and feathers for womenswear. my favourite print was this woodland design (above & below) on a little girls dress. you can see some professional shots from the press show on the laura ashley blog online here.

STORESNAPS - kids design

i had a little snoop around the kids department at fenwick's recently and was pleased to see a special belle & boo area featuring nursery wall prints and stickers, plus cushions, tableware and even clothing. they also had some great children's books including several by the wonderfully talented ellen giggenbach. its well worth a look if you are in london researching children's design. fenwicks is at 63 new bond street and is just a few minutes walk from liberty down hanover street.
also in the near to liberty is 'playlounge' on beak street who sell toys and a great selection of stylish illustrated children's books such as miffy, moomins, and marc boutavant. if kawaii is more your thing you will enjoy david and goliath around the corner on carnaby street.
