STATIONERY - sainsbury's

Sainsbury's have introduced their new spring stationery ranges. Two new collections are Butterflies - a bright graphic design and Botanicals a traditional floral design reminiscent of wallpaper. Also shown are some of their existing products including a stylised tulip range and kids prints on pencil cases. More info on the Sainsbury's Home Ideas blog. All snapped in my local branch of Sainsbury's.

WALL ART - going danish

I wanted to start back after Easter with something bold and colourful whist I go through all the fab Surtex flyers that have been coming in over the break. I couldn't resist highlighting these fun prints from Mariann Doherty at Going Danish which are new since the last time I posted her beautiful illustrations back in 2012. Mariann is a freelance designer based in Denmark and you can find her online here.

PACKAGING - dorset cereals

Dorset Cereals are well known for their beautiful packaging after launching their colourful 'Orla kiely style' leaf designs in 2006. This re-brand made them a household name and tuned them into a huge player in the cereals market - which shows the importance of design. In the last few months they have had a full re-design of all their packaging and here are some snapshots from my local supermarket along with a few web pics. There are great new illustrations on muesli, granola, and porridge and you can see more of their lovely packaging at the Dorset Cereals website here.

Below : The previous iconic Dorset Cereals packaging. The leaf logo still features in the new packaging within each illustration.

TEXTILES - villa nova

UK fabric and wallpaper company Villa Nova have released two interesting new print collections. The first collection is Loki featuring colourful geometrics, such as these textural triangles, and bold ikat motifs. Inspiration for Loki came from patterns all over the globe and there are a variety of colourways available including some lovely blues which are at last back from the interior design wilderness.

The second collection is Elodie a painterly collection of florals and embroidered designs which has a striking red and grey colourway as one of the options. You can see Loki, Elodie, and three other new ranges online here.
