XMAS 2015 - john lewis

I am on my last few days before the Christmas break here on P&P and in this post I wanted to keep the festive mood with a showcase of some of the best designs from John Lewis' Christmas card selection. I found loosely illustrated bobble hats, on trend geometric characters, and retro typography from publishers such as Black Olive, The Art File, Art Press Woodmansterne and John Lewis' own label exclusives.

XMAS 2015 - nastja holtfreter

These Christmas designs came in from Berlin based designer Nastja Holtfreter. Nastja is creating a new illustration every day on her blog between now and Christmas Eve. Circus themes, cats, and Santa's beard - to see what is next can follow along with Nastja online here.

XMAS 2015 - caroline gardner

I can usually rely on Caroline Gardner to come up with just the design I am after at Christmas and this year I have really fallen for their Geo Trees design. This lovely mix of Scandinavian style trees and geometric shaped decorations features on wrapping paper tags and gift boxes. Below some are more designs that caught my eye (including a 2016 floral calendar) online at Caroline Gardner.

XMAS 2015 - tesco

Still thinking of festive design we have some snapshots from the Tesco 2015 Christmas offering. If i have noticed anything on the high street or in supermarkets this year it has been a prevalence of hand drawn or hand cut typography.
