Esther Nariyoshi is a Surface Pattern Designer and Letterer. Esther has been really excited to showcase a new SS18 collection named "Alice in Dreamland". It was named after her daughter, who is a lovely bubbly 3 years old. The collection was inspired by a month of her early waking (4-5am!). And this collection began to come together around the same time. Now that Esther's daughter starts to wake up at a reasonable time she thought she would name the collection “Alice in Dreamland”,so that she can remember this time with fond nursery patterns. Nicky Storr is an illustrator based in Yorkshire, England with a passion for quirky characters and believe that life is what you make it! Nicky works with pencil and watercolour as well computer based designs worked up from sketchbooks. She has two children and although life is fraught and busy she says its also full of good times, hugs and laughter which comes through in her jolly designs. The opportunity to work with new clients and work on upcoming projects absolutely thrills Nicky, and the idea that her crazy characters will walk into peoples hearts makes her do a silly little jig!
I had so many interesting snaps from my trip to Mothercare that I had to create a part two. So in this post we have patterns and placement prints from boys and girls clothing. But there are also a few snaps of a nursery decor range called 'Hello Friend' featuring a fun animal print mixing stylised safari animals with alphabet letters.
