Our Friday eye candy this week comes from Ikea with a showcase of their colourful Overallt collection. Ikea teamed up with Ten creatives from Five African Countries to collaborate on a range that fuses African and Scandi design to create a modern urban look. Overallt fuses aspects of African fashion, sculpture, architecture and furniture design and the result is a collection of chairs, soft furnishings, storage and kitchenware that mixes modern ideas with traditional craft. And whilst we are looking a Ikea - they also have gone all out for pattern on their new Ombyte range. This is a collection of products design for moving house and includes boxes and tapes in a myriad of bold prints. And in case you were wondering Overallt is Swedish for Everywhere and Ombyte means Variety.
Becky Marshall Design is a brand new Etsy shop selling lampshades in unique patterns. Although the business is new I have featured fab designer Becky before as she used to run a successful card publishing business Owaboo. All the prints are original and there are designs featuring animals and birds that are perfect for children's rooms or anyone looking for something colourful.
