Designer Aisling Griffin of the Tree Top Studio has produced a new maternity t-shirt featuring a lovely graphic print with the theme abundance. She was inspired to create her own after fining a lack of nice maternity tops out there. Especially all the horizontal stripes! Aisling wanted to give pregnant ladies a design that would promote positivity and add a pop of colour to their wardrobe. You can see it online here.

KIDS DESIGN - john lewis
P&P finishes the week with the last of my pre-lockdown kidswear store snaps. All these cute designs were spotted in John Lewis. I loved the animals listening to music and riding their scateboards, scooters and bikes (above & below).

KIDS DESIGN - h&m
I have been going through my files this week to find any unpublished store snaps taken before the lockdown. I wanted to post them up while they are still relevant so today I have a selection of placement prints and patterns from childrenswear at H&M.

DESIGNER - kitsune design studio
Antonella Brodigan is a self taught pattern designer living in Cambridge, UK and working under the label Kitsune Design Studio. I have featured a couple of Antonella's designs before as coursework from the Make it in Design graduate features. She had gone to University to study languages but always knew she wanted a creative career. Antonella took the course after being a 'stay at home mum' for a few years, and by taking Rachael Taylor's Winter School her eyes were opened to the endless possibilities pattern design can be applied to. Antonella also watched a load of Skillshare classes and YouTube videos to teach herself Adobe Illustrator and brush up on Photoshop.
A lot of her inspiration comes from what she sees while out running and she is always stopping to take photos of flowers, plants and anything else that grabs her attention. Antonella likes to hand draw or paint her motifs and then either recreate them in Illustrator or scan them into Photoshop.
Currently, some of her designs are for sale on Redbubble and Society6 and she also sells a selection of her designs as fabrics on Fashion Formula.
Although Antonella is in the very early stages of her career as a pattern designer she has dreams of seeing her designs on homewares and fabrics for a retail company or stationery products like Paperchase. Website / Instagram
