Genna Blackburn is a surface designer and illustrator in Detroit, Michigan, who enjoys the puzzle-like nature of creating patterns. Inspired by her love of plants and animals, (especially her pets who make regular appearances in her illustrations), her work is a playful exploration of shape and color stemming from her background as a graphic designer. Genna has licensed her designs in the stationery, apparel and baby/kids industries, and would be delighted to see her work on fabric, books, and toys/games.

Nestbox is the creative studio of Jill Burns, a surface designer and illustrator who today joins the P&P Designers for Hire Directory. Jill began her career designing ceramics for the home and gift markets and recently expanded to include broader applications such as stationery and fabrics. Her motifs are inspired by antique curiosities. Seemingly disparate objects such as a folk art birdcage, vintage perfume bottle or a Japanese spinning top are all sources for ideas. Her distinctive illustrative and gestural style runs the gamut of stylish and sophisticated to cheeky and fun. Jill has a comprehensive portfolio available for licensing or purchase, but she also loves the challenge of freelance projects. The latest Virtual Blueprint show is almost upon us running from February 2nd - February 4th 2021. One of those attending the show will be the Rose Merry Design Studio where Nerisaa Thomas will be showcasing her beautiful new collections.
