CARDS - sketchy hounds
Liz Pengilley is an artist who creates under the name Sketchy Hounds, where she illustrates a range of bright and colourful 'pawsome' dog designs. Her artworks are available on cards, prints and homeware items and Liz has an Etsy shop and Not on the High Street Shop where she hopes to expand her product range. Sketchy Hounds started during the first UK lockdown, with Liz drawing her dog Denzel, and now the range has grown into a range of mainly long dogs such as Lurchers, Greyhounds and Whippets. This year she is also raising funds for the Forever Hounds Trust (a charity for Lurchers and Greyhounds), where she is donating 20p from each Etsy sale. Liz loves drawing these long dogs, as they are so much fun to draw, and she loves coming up with new ranges, especially the Lurchers in Loungewear, creating their colourful outfits.

WALL ART - kapitza
I love it when my Kapitza newsletter comes though, and this time it featured some extra special news. The sisters have had a painting selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London. The painting (seen below) called 'Disrupted Rainbow' was selected by Grayson Perry to hang in one of his vibrant and joyful yellow rooms. The exhibition is very significant in the art world and has run ever year without interruption since 1769. Unsurprisingly the painting has already sold, but Petra and Nicole at Kapitza have more original paintings for sale. At the end of May they opened a brand new online print shop offering a collection of carefully selected colourful and monochrome art prints in three sizes.
A perfect way to add vibrancy to your home and to benefit from the positive effects of colour on your wellbeing. The Summer Show at the Royal Academy of Art is on now until 21st August.

PACKAGING - nathalie lete
I was very surprised recently to be in a gift shop and see a beauty collection illustrated by French artist Nathalie Lete. I've always been a fan of Nathalie's hand painted animals, birds and flowers. The range was by Heathcote and Ivory and I managed to get a few snapshots.

STATIONERY - wh smith
I found some older snapshots taken in High Street store WH Smith that I thought were worth sharing today. The company was found in 1792 so it's amazing that it is still going today. I've picked out the most interesting things seen on the day, mainly notebooks and notecards, but also some gift items too.
