IN MY INBOX....

im still going through all the emails readers have sent in over the summer break. but here are a few of the designs i've come across so far. first up was a new fabric collection by jenn ski, a designer famous for her mid century modern style. at first jenn wasn't gonna her fabrics just use them for sewing projects but people started hear asking when it would be for sale in her etsy shop. jenn hopes the collection will be successful enough that she can do more of these designs in the future.below : nikki griffiths trained graphic designer that has just finished the art and business of surface pattern design course. nikki was also runner up in the ideal home show wallpaper design of the year, with her 'colouring-in-cakes' design - the idea being, if it's black and white, the kids (big & small) can then colour it in!! nikki is now branching out from graphic design to surface pattern design, and is in the process of looking for an agent. below : rachael jane has a new online design portfolio of patterns, plus she also designs logos and web banners, not to mention her new line of jewelery called koko beau where i loved the ice cream colour combination on this bracelet. below : mr yen paper cuts are designed and handcrafted by jonathan chapman. after studying graphic design at leeds college of art, he became interested in paper cutting as a technique for creating intricate and delicate images. he has created bespoke paper cuts for commercial clients such as hannah zakari, lynx and tigerprint.below : anna burbidge has just graduated from norwich university college of the arts gaining a first class honours degree in surface design. she also exhibited at new designers and is now living in norwich and working freelance for a London studio creating fashion prints. however, anna am passionate about print and her own work is focused more on interiors and silk scarves. she creates screen-prints for interior fabrics, which at the moment focus on her drawings of animals and are inspired by both toiles and 1950's prints. she is currently working on a collection which will feature animals native to england.
