IKEA - textiles pt.1 : birds

today's ikea snaps are all from their fabulous textiles department. somehow ikea manage to bring bold scandinavian style to the masses, and at really low prices. for example the beautiful bird designs shown here (designed by s edholm/l ullenius) are just £3.91 and £1.99 a metre. scroll down for lots more textile snaps, and if you cant make it to ikea then you can still get hold of their fabrics here on etsy.

I was just at Ikea last week and snapped up several yards of their bird prints, (which were on sale from their already affordable price, yippee!)

I love the birds. I made a wine tote using one of the fabrics a few weeks ago (as an end-of-the-school-year gift for my daughter's teacher):

I bought 2 metres of the second one at IKEA Sydney, it was $4AUS a metre! I love it, I'm thinking cushion covers for them. So lovely.
