Oh, these birds are so lovely. Great to be inspired just before a whole bunch of public holidays which give me LOADS of uninterrupted studio time. Yippee!
Love the birds! I am especially smitten with the cardinals!
oh oh oh! these pieces are georgeous! thanks for this post, i'm going to have to look into this guy!!! i can't decide which would be my favorite they are all fab!
these are the most beautiful things I have seen for a long time - thanks for finding them - they are a bit pricey but I don't think I am going to be able to resist. The only trouble is they are all great - I can't choose a favourite.

I just saw a piece on CBS Sunday morning about Charley Harper - what gorgeous illustrations! I love the geometric nature and the whimsy of creating craetures out of every day shapes...
Thanks for your post about Charley Harper! I just want to add that his prints are available at various price points, so there's something for everyone. The lithographs start at $50, a few serigraphs are still $90 [and run into the hundreds], there are posters for $30 and up, and notecards are $2 each [they look great framed!]. Charley was a populist artist and wanted everyone to be able to enjoy his work!

There is a new website featuring over six decades of Charley Harper's work. The URL is:
