print & pattern is taking part in a book blog tour for the very first time. chronicle books have invited various bloggers to give our reviews on an exciting new illustration book."the exquisite book" written by julia rothman, jenny volvovski and matt lamothe re-invents a surrealist drawing game for 100 of todays top indie artists. Each illustrator was asked to create an image having only seen the page of the artist immediately prior. its interesting to see that on some of the pages where the visual connection is obvious but on others it takes time to spot. 'the exquisite' book also has a unique construction of ten different fold out accordions bound into a single hardcover. contributors include ray fenwick, alyson fox, lisa congdon, marcus oakley, matte stephens, lab partners, and lorena siminovich. available here on amazon usa or amazon uk.
