you may remember earlier this month i posted a wonderful opportunity for one lucky reader to win a free place on all three modules of the e-course "the art and business of surface pattern design" an opportunity worth £459. there were over 150 entrants in the competition from 27 countries all across the world with a very high standard of entries. in the end we couldnt decide on one winner and so have decided to give two full scholarships to : Emily Truong (USA)
and Simi Gauba (Sweden)
emily's work was everything i love colourful, fun, stylised and graphic with beautifully incorporated typography. simi's pattern was loose and bold but also her story and motivation for entering was very touching.our two winners will now begin the course on the first 'print & pattern scholarship'.
