orla kiely has teamed up with the excellent wild & wolf to create a small collection of garden products. there are three enamel planters of different sizes, plus a fork and trowel, and a flask all in orla's bold 'petal' design. trade buyers can find them online here at wild & wolf.

marcus walters exhibition unplanned magic is coming to london, following on from his original show in ludlow last year. marcus will be exhibiting a selection of artwork from the original show alongside some new screen prints. opening on thursday 9th of february at the red Gallery, rivington street, london.
these are the lovely new arrivals in a solitaire this month. and if you think the new designs have a bit of a baby theme then you'd be right as solitaire designers matt and em are currently expecting a baby this month. they've created beautiful cards for a new boy or girl and ABC nursery prints in three colourways, as well as new lavender bags. you can see everything from solitaire online here.
as you'll know we designers have been into triangles for quite some time now, so it was interesting to see some recent uses for this trendiest of geometric shapes in the mainstream arena. these snaps were taken in john lewis where this new packaging fits in with the various products and themes of their 'playnation' trend (which also utilises the same pattern on a cushion amongst other items).
in the UK you may have noticed that television channel more4 had a rebrand last last week and now features a triangle themed identity designed by man vs machine. 
lital gold is a textile designer and illustrator from israel who currently lives in philadelphia where she works as a textile designer for urban outfitters subsidiary brand 'free people'. lital recently had a chance to decorate a new free people store with her own artworks (above & below). 
designer linda wood will be showcasing her new card designs this weekend at the spring fair in birmingham. the show takes place at the NEC from february 5th-9th and will consist of around 3000 exhibitors of which over 230 are card publishers. if you're in the area this is the place to see new products and trends. linda wood will be in hall 4 on stand FF93.
laura dro is a freelance designer based in chicago who exhibited at surtex for the first time last year and from there secured her first licensing deal. as well as her pattern design career laura has recently put together a range of artworks for 'trendy tots' which she is currently selling as 8"x 10" prints in her etsy shop 'trendy tot art'.
there are lots of great new card designs in at lagom this spring. including a collection of 8 cards by the wonderful debbie powell, well known for her work with jamie oliver.
