cute prints

ive been working on moodboards for children's designs and thought i'd share some of these images from japanese brand cram cream. these cute graphic pattern designs can be found on all manner of products from textiles to stationery. if you want to check out cram cream for yourself there is an official website here, although its probably best to google them (or check on flickr) for nicer images. click here to see a post at wee wonderfuls where cram cream designer mayumi explains a little about the designs. ive been using the japanese comkids website as a source for great designs - including the subject of the next post, linda linda.

also at comkids is a range very similar to cram cream style called 'linda linda'. supercute designs for kids, or fans of cute design.

bright finds snapped this weekend in paperchase. oilcloth cases and a funky pattern on a 2007 diary.

notebooks

a selection of silhouette floral notebooks by robert le heros. they show a great use of layering with the solid motifs, linear sketches, and background patterns.

mug placement prints

i was out & about yesterday and spotted these mugs in debenhams. there seems to lots of dotty designs out there at the moment.

patterned labels

my post on wednesday featuring a japanese cd label got me thinking about what other designs may be available. like these cool graphic versions from 5inch. if you're a designer that needs to send out discs, or a student sending out designs with your CV then a cd label is a must to get you noticed. it could be great fun designing you own brand and packaging for cds. 5inch are graphic designers with a huge range of labels available, click here to take a look.
