my christmas review continues with a look at whats happening in john lewis. they had great caroline gardner gift wrap (above & below), and a fun range of gifts and sweets. the cards didnt seem to be instore yet, but generally the theme was fun and colourful.
next up its 'next' , where i loved the use of animals featuring patterns on them.
wh smith have a selection of individual cards as well as sets, my fave was the cut out bird above.
something important is happening today in the USA - in case you havent heard they're electing the "leader of the free world", and although we cant vote in the UK it will directly effect us. in true print & pattern style we are also concerned with the design aspect, and here are a small selection of vintage american graphics. if you're creating something patriotic all you need is stars, stripes, and a good dose of red, white and blue. good luck to all our american readers who are voting today.
im continuing my look at christmas designs on the high street and in supermarkets with a look at asda. they have a nice mix of graphic style novelty and metallics. they also had some really sophisticated black & white designs.
