besides the fun novelty collection tesco also have some nice floral designs and metallics. its worth noting that the design that seemed to be selling quickest was the set of black & gold designs at the bottom of the post. its only november and they were nearly all gone.
something less high street now with the tate modern gift shop. the 'peace' doily design by sara fanelli is a re-work of an illustration in her book - "sometimes i think i am". besides their own specially commissioned designer cards they also have a range of moma (museum of modern art) designs.
there were more great moma cards just along from the tate modern in the royal festival hall shop. they also stocked hello lucky ! and nineteenseventythree.
cath kidston christmas is vintage with a twist. the patterns are nostalgic but the colours are bright, fun, and bang up to date. items in the christmas range include wrap and gift bags, candles, tree decs, mugs, tins, and napkins. cath kidston also has a brand new website which you can see here.
as is typical of the japanese brand muji they've gone for quiet understated christmas cards, using a few colours as possible and mat card to keep the colour muted.
todays christmas cards are from oxfam, which for international readers is a uk charity (oxford famine) so every penny goes to good causes. instead of using acetate boxes all their cards this year are packaged in 50% recycled card, and the designs are also really trendy and contemporary.
