i am gradually photographing my way around the uk high street this christmas and today its the turn of heals. they always have a small but stylish selection of cards and wrap, plus a range of festive tableware, crackers, etc. their main christmas decor ranges were a british theme of red white and blue, and a green collection. my faves were the knitted folky baubles which are bang on trend with all fairisle knits around this year. you see much more from heals online here.
brighton based artist dan bennett has created a fabric collection for westminster fibres under their rowan label. called 'wild garden' there are seventeen prints available in a variety of florals and geometrics.
i reported a month or so ago on the V&A collection of prints and decided to go and see them for myself in person at the V&A shop. i really fell in love with this print from artist and designer nina chakrabarti. it features a honeycombe layout of patterns from the V&A museum in delicious almost flouro colours. limited to 200 prints it a really beautiful piece of work. see it online here.

do you keep an eye on the print & pattern jobs board? from time to time we have some great opportunities for designers on there, such as this one with design studio my sugar cube. they are a london based studio who specialise in kids prints who are looking for a designer to join their team. shown here are some examples of their current work so you can see the kind of thing they do.
designer sally elford has some new screen prints created for the assembly rooms xmas artmarket in brighton on december 4th 2010. talented designers and print makers will be setting out their stalls from 10.30 am - 5.30pm and are described as."something a little different, a little fresher and a more contemporary selection than at the usual craft fairs and markets".
the excellent north rock gallery are stocking several designs from sagaform's christmas collection. products include a shaped serving plate and mulled wine set. all the surface design is by swedish duo bjork-forth.
