if you have been a visitor to new york you will probably have been to the fishs eddy store on broadway which is popular with tourists, designers and comp shoppers alike. the latest collaboration at fishs eddy is with designer lotta jansdotter who has produced a glass and porcelain collection for them.

TABLEWARE - alice melvin

alice melvin has created a series of coasters and tablemats in collaboration with castle melamine. the designs feature stylised birds such as gulls and gannets in repeat patterns. find the entire collection and lots more products at alice melvin.

STORESNAPS - boots : cute or what

i wanted to post a few snaps taken over the holidays whilst out and about in the stores. i was especially struck by the 'cute or what' gift range spotted in boots. based on stamps and post the collection features various bird illustrations and designs along with co-ordinating patterns including buttons and dog tooth.

PRINTSOURCE 2013 FLYERS

these retro inspired aprons, tea towels, oven mitts, and pot holders are from a new line of kitchen textiles by london based label lilly loray, and are all handmade in the UK! created in collaboration with designer carol van zandt they can be found online and in whisk stores in the UK.

GIFT WRAP - wrap magazine

wrap magazine have introduced a new range of illustrated wrapping papers. collaborating with four of their favourite illustrators : harriet seed, lesley barens, sam brewster, and colourbox they've developed a range of 10 fun illustrated papers (all printed on 100% recycled stock). priced at £1.75 and available here.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2013 !

happy new year to all print & pattern readers and i hope you have all had a good christmas/holiday break. print & pattern will be back 7th january 2013 with lots more design, inspiration and showcases. these images were of the graphics spotted at my local garden centre and represent the last of the festive design season. see you in the new year !
